Privacy Policy

1.1 Data Controller. StackPilotTech, located at 100344, Str. 8 Martie nr. 88, Ploiești, Romania, is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through this website and related services.

1.2 Information We Collect. We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, and project details submitted through our contact form. We also collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and access timestamps.

1.3 Purpose of Processing. Your data is processed solely to respond to inquiries, deliver requested services, maintain communication regarding active projects, and comply with legal obligations under Romanian and EU law.

1.4 Legal Basis. Processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in maintaining service quality (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

1.5 Data Retention. Personal data is retained for the duration necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or up to 24 months after the last communication, whichever is shorter. Server logs are retained for 90 days.

1.6 Your Rights. Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port data, and object to processing. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.

1.7 Data Transfers. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area unless explicit consent is obtained or adequate safeguards are in place.

Terms of Service

2.1 Acceptance. By engaging StackPilotTech for services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2.2 Scope of Services. StackPilotTech provides digital innovation, creative technology development, interactive installation design, and consulting services as described in individual project agreements.

2.3 Project Agreements. Each project is governed by a separate scope document detailing deliverables, timelines, and pricing. These Terms supplement, but do not replace, individual project agreements.

2.4 Payment Terms. Payments are due as specified in the project agreement. Invoices are payable within 14 days of issuance. Late payments incur a 2% monthly surcharge.

2.5 Intellectual Property. Upon full payment, all deliverables and source code developed specifically for the client become the client's property. Pre-existing tools, frameworks, and libraries remain StackPilotTech's property with perpetual usage rights granted to the client.

2.6 Limitation of Liability. StackPilotTech's total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

2.7 Termination. Either party may terminate a project agreement with 14 days' written notice. Work completed up to termination is invoiced proportionally.

2.8 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ploiești, Romania.

Cookie Policy

3.1 What Are Cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us understand how you use our site and improve your experience.

3.2 Essential Cookies. We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain site functionality, remember your cookie consent preference, and ensure secure browsing. These cookies do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive.

3.3 What We Do Not Use. StackPilotTech does not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, third-party marketing pixels, or any form of behavioral profiling. We respect your privacy — full stop.

3.4 Local Storage. We use browser local storage to persist your cookie consent choice. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

3.5 Managing Cookies. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling essential cookies may affect site functionality.

3.6 Updates. This Cookie Policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The latest version is always available on this page.

Refund & Reimbursement Policy

4.1 Eligibility. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] within 14 days of the invoiced service delivery date.

4.2 Milestone-Based Projects. For projects with defined milestones, refunds are calculated based on incomplete work relative to the milestone structure. Completed milestones are non-refundable.

4.3 Consulting Services. Hourly consulting sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable but may be rescheduled once.

4.4 Digital Products. Pre-built digital products, open-source tool licenses, and template packages are non-refundable once delivered or activated, unless defective as described in the product specifications.

4.5 Processing. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to the original payment method. Bank transfer fees are deducted from the refund amount.

4.6 Disputes. If a refund request is denied and you believe the decision is unjustified, you may escalate the matter by emailing [email protected] with relevant documentation for review by a senior team member.
